LPA's FIRST YEAR PROGRAM
The First Year Program is a significant part of the life of a first year student at LPA. It is a program designed to provide incoming first year students with an intellectually challenging academic experience, while preparing the student for a successful transition from high school to college and to a life a long habit of learning. Class extends beyond the classroom and includes college trips and other co-curricular events.
The First Year program is academically rigorous and designed to introduce new LPA men to:
- Critical Analysis
- Discussion and Debate
- College Level Writing
- Research and approaches to problem solving

Students must take four years of English, Language,
Writing, Math and Leadership. A Leadership curriculum has been developed for each
grade.

When students graduate from Leadership Prep Academy, they leave not only
with a solid academic foundation but they also take with them a genuine understanding
of the world, and respect for differences, both cultural and academic. Their education
has equipped them with a sense of academic responsibility and independence and
encouraged them to be responsible, informed and caring members of society.
