 LPA considers sports a necessary ingredient in developing
young men; as such LPA requires that all its students compete in at least
one of the 3 sports LPA currently offers.
Our program encourages all students to pursue a physically active life
beyond their years at Leadership Prep Academy. The Academy also provides physical
education and health classes required for graduation.
Currently we offer basketball,
boxing and golf. These sports are great for enhancing the student's physical,
mental and emotional well-being.
 Basketball
LPA basketball is coached by former All State basketball
players and individuals who have played professional basketball over seas. LPA's
pledge is to be one of the top basketball programs in the state in 5 years and
one of the top teams in the nation in 8 years.

Boxing
Boxing is one of the most effective ways to develop young men’s physical
fitness as well as their mental toughness. LPA offers boxing as physical fitness
as well as competitively. Our boxers have the opportunity to compete in the Golden
Glove tournaments.
Golf
LPA’s Golf team is coached by professional golf players from the Hartford
area. Their unique skills and talents will allow LPA golfers to compete competitively,
while developing the necessary networking skills to further their aspirations. |
